Healthy societies begins with Healthy Children Healthy Women Healthy Girls

Nigeria, with a population of close to 200 million people, is largely made up of Children, women and girls. Categorically, they are classified as the vulnerable group as they are largely affected by Religious ideologies, social injustice and most importantly, health challenges.

CWGI is established to reduce the different health challenges that these group of people face through "AWARENESS" and "AID" as they progress through life.

OUR APPROACH

Our actionable steps towards a healthier Nation

On 25th September, 2015, the 193 member countries of the United Nations general assembly adopted the 2030 developmental agenda titled " Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development". This agenda succeeded the millennium developmental goals (MDG's) which were eight(8) for the year 2015 that had been established following the millennium summit of the United Nations in 2000 by world leaders.

Although, there have been major advances and improvements achieving some of the MDG's even before the deadline of 2015, as at 2013, progress towards the goals were uneven between the countries. Some countries achieved many goals while others especially the developing and underdeveloped nations were not able to actualize any. Nigeria failed to achieve the millennium developmental goals largely due to mismanaged government funds, lack of security and the threats to National security, inadequate and inappropriate health policies and to some extent ignorance.

The progress of the Sustainable Developmental Goals is however beginning to take shape as different Non-Governmental Organizations have emerged in these developing countries through external funding from both Government and private establishments in the developed nations. Within the next 11 years, Nigeria will be among the Nations that MUST have reached reasonably height towards attaining the goals of the Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs).
